BOLTON LANDING Bolton Landing is a view point on the western shore of Lake George. This location offers beautiful views of Lake George and is the best spot to say your vows. SCHUMANN PRESERVE AT PILOT KNOB This is a 3.8 mile trail with stunning view of Lake George from the overlook at the top. Once you reach the top you'll see views of the lake and mountains. SHELVING ROCK MOUNTAIN TRAIL This is a 3 mile trail that leads to an overlook with views of Lake George and surrounding mountains. Lake Placid is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. Just a short drive from lake Placid and you'll hit Saranac Lake Wild Forest and the High Peaks Wilderness. This is a a beautiful lake for hiking, having a picnic. The lake offers a peaceful and beautiful views for an intimate elopement. HIKING: CASCADE LAKE TRAIL 5.9 The Cascade Lake Trail is a 5 mile long, easy hike near the town of Eagle Bay. This loop trail offers an easy walk around Cascade Lake and stops along a few waterfalls on the way! WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO ELOPE IN NEW YORK: MARRIAGE LICENSE To get married in Vermont you need to obtain a marriage license from a town clerk’s office. This can be done in any town, regardless of where you plan to marry in the state. Bring valid ID, fill out the necessary forms, and pay the $25 fee and you're all set! The license is valid for 60 days. CHOOSE A LOCATION Upstate New York's Adirondack Parks, offers unique scenic settings for an elopement. Choose a location that fits your vision, whether it's a mountaintop, lakeside, or forest setting. Park Rules: Each park may have specific rules regarding ceremonies.
